The name

Bhadhram means “safe” in Malayalam, the language of Keralam, where our pieces are made.

The pieces

Cotton, hemp, linen and plant-based blends, coloured with natural dyes such as indigo, madder, sappanwood and turmeric. The colour can shift from batch to batch, so your piece may differ slightly from the photographs.

How the pieces are made

  1. The cloth

    Hand-picked plant fibres such as cotton, linen, hemp, Bemberg (cupro), Tencel and their blends.

  2. The colour

    Dyed by hand with natural dyes, by our partners in India: flowers, leaves, bark and roots.

  3. Sewn for you

    Cut and sewn by local artisans in Keralam after you order, in your size or to your own measurements.

  4. On its way

    Each piece is made just for you, so we keep no stock. When we reply, we’ll gladly tell you how long yours will take.
